Markus Pontius Pilate was born in Samnium in central southern Italy, in the reign of Caesar Augustus to a wealthy family.  

As a son of a military officer known to the Emperor, Markus is given the finest tutors and at 18, was entered into the Registries as a practitioner of Roman law.

Come with Markus as he trains with the world’s elite, fights his way through the Barbarians in Spain with his father and is asked by the Emperor to become Prefect of the troublesome colony of Judea, where the strictly legalistic lawyer caves into pressure of his greatest fear and he makes the mistake of his lifetime, and the whole world, nay all of history, is changed forever.
